Housing --

Contingent on our estimates on the total number of participants, the organizers expect to pay for hotel for all participants.

We ask that you not make your own hotel reservations. Rather, the organizers will make block-reservations. However, this approach with block-hotel reservation makes it important that you register using the Registration link for this conference.

We have reserved blocks of rooms at two quality hotels --

  • The Iowa House is conveniently located on campus. There is a quick, easy and free bus (Cambus) that you will be able to take to and from the lectures. Most of the lectures will take place in Van Allen Hall (VAN). It is only a 5-minute walk, and a nice one as well.

The rate for a room at the Iowa House is $70.00 per night.

  • The Heartland Inn is located near campus; walking to the lectures would take approximately 25 minutes.
University of Iowa vans will be available to transport conference participants back and forth between this hotel and the lectures.

The rate for a room at the Heartland Inn is $63.74 per night.

If you have any special room requirements related to accommodation of disabilities, or special dietary needs, please contact Walter Seaman. Vegetarian meals will be available at events catered by the Midwest Geometry Conference.

Please visit the Airport & Transportation link for detailed information of how to find these hotels.

Additionally, Mapquest is always a good option --

  • specifically for guests at the Iowa House, N Madison & W Jefferson, Iowa City, IA 52245 --
    Phone: (319) 335-3513.

  • guests staying at the Heartland Inn, 87 2nd Street, Coralville, Iowa 52241 --
    Phone: (319) 351-8132.
The University of Iowa also has some local maps and directions.
