fractals, Fourier analysis on fractals, signal
processing, and sub-band filters.

Paul Muhly |
He is interested in all aspects of operator
theory and operator algebra. In recent years, his research has focused on
the interplay between C*-algebras and non-self-adjoint algebras.
A large portion of his research is devoted to coordinate representation of
operator algebras using groupoids and related technology.

Tuong Ton-That |
His main research interests can be grouped into three categories:
1) Group Representations: Representation Theory of Lie groups and
inductive limits of Lie groups, Invariant Theory;
2) Abstract Harmonic Analysis: Generalization of the theory of the Fourier
tranform on the circle group to more abstract groups;
3) Mathematical Physics: Applications of group theory to Quantum
Mechanics.
