About UI Math Club

The goal of UI Math Club is to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of math in a casual atmosphere. In addition to biweekly meetings, we participate in mathematics competitions, both regional and international, attend conferences, and hold social events for undergraduate math enthusiasts.

Meetings are held for every two weeks, which will be normally on Tuesday, 6pm, in Muhly Lounge (Room 3), MacLean Hall. We will announce the meeting on either Thursday or Monday.

About Pi Mu Epsilon (PME)

Pi Mu Epsilon is the U.S. honorary national mathematics society. Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To promote mathematics, the National Pi Mu Epsilon Council co-sponsors an annual conference in conjunction with the Mathematical Association of America.

The society also publishes a semi-annual journal, the Pi Mu Epsilon Journal, which both presents research papers particularly focusing on students authored papers, as well as a problem section.
