Meeting called to order 6:14
PM, or 1814 in Colinspeak.
Spiffy mathelicous happenings:
Our honorable president expressed
a desire to hurt aBa after he insisted that everyone introduce himself
or herself by stating his or her favorite animal.
Jeremiah reminded everyone
about the mathematical modeling competition. Those interested
contact him or aBa.
Boanne (that is sqrt(-1))
talked about a dead mathematician: none other than "that hospital
guy," L'Hospital.
Carlos did an easy problem
and a hard one.
aBa requested volunteers to
help chalk the boards. Jacquelyn very awesomely volunteered. Her
sunshine- and smiley-drawing skills will be put to the test, but we
all have confidence that she is up to the challenge.
aBa will be tragically absent
from our next meeting; he is ditching us to go to Missouri for some
mathish thing.
Colin dazzled us with his stunning
rendition of kid tunes: "Pop Goes the Weasel" with quadratic formula
lyrics and "Minnie the Moocher" featuring the quotient rule.
Let it be known that Colin
still is not happy about sexual harassment training.
