I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. In high school, I was a member of the band and the debate team. I went to college at Truman State University where I majored in Math and Physics. Now I am a sixth year graduate student in Topology at the University of Iowa. I study quantum hyperbolic invariants of knot complements and am hoping to relate my work to the volume conjecture.

In my free time, I love to read children's literature and scrapbook with my mom. I am also an avid fan of the Math Department's softball team.
