I am originally from the town of Cidra in the Island of Puerto Rico. I got my BS in Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. I became a student in the Department of Mathematics at the UI in August of 1998. Three years later I received a MS in mathematics from the University of Iowa. Afterwards I took a break, among other things I worked as an Instructor at the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. I came back to Iowa City in order to complete my PhD in mathematics. My advisor is Prof. Yi Li.
