Curves

Parametric graphs are only the image {(x[t], y[t], z[t]) : a≤t≤b },  I

Smoothness of the vector function is the approximation

        X[t + δt] = X[t] + X '[t] · δt + ε · δt

where  ε≈0  uniformly in the fixed value of  t  when  δt≈0.  On an explicit plot, this is equivalent to the magnified image of  X[t + δt] - X[t]  appearing to coincide with  X '[t] δt.

The local linear graph has parametric equation

( dx ) = ( ′ ) dt ... [t] ′ z [t]

with t fixed and the (dx, dy, dz)-origin at the point of tangency X[t].
